Goodbye Bank, Hello Credit Union

Take a dash of FL Panhandle personality and mix it with a heaping serving of big city resources, and the result is what you get from Hello Credit Union – local charm with global access. We really know our members because they are our friends and neighbors! Join today and WAVE HELLO to low loan rates, user-friendly technology, and convenient branches!

Hello Credit Union was established in 1952 as International Paper Employees Federal Credit Union. In 1976, our name was changed to Bay County Industrial Credit Union to reflect our expanded membership more adequately. In 1987, the name was changed again to Bay Credit Union when our field of membership was opened to virtually all residents of Bay County. In 2022, FLAG Credit Union joined the Bay Credit Union family through a member approved merger.  FLAG Credit Union was chartered in 1960 to serve the employees of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which Hello CU continues to do today!  Check out our important milestones below.

Supporting the Underserved

We offer products and services that serve the needs of ALL our members. With the intent of providing products that support the underserved, we introduced no-credit-check loans to help build credit or meet other short-term needs, share secured loans, and debt consolidation loans to help get members out of high-cost debt.

Fostering Free Financial Education

We provide free financial education courses for local groups and through professional development programs at our select employee groups.

Cultivating Relationships that Go the Distance

Hello has five physical locations but our members range from Panama City to Key West. We have worked hard to implement a seamless process for serving members across the entire state of Florida completely electronically. Our members can accomplish everything from originating a loan to managing their accounts all without setting foot in our branch. We are a small credit union with the convenience of a big bank.
